RAF 'TYPE C' BATTLE OF BRITAIN FLYING HELMET RECEIVERS - 10A/7063 + HEADBAND
SOLD
For sale are a lovely, rare pair of early WW2 RAF 'Type C' 10A/7063 receivers/earphones intended to fit the ubiquitous B Type Flying Helmet. Complete with metal headband. These were the type of receivers used during the Battle of Britain.
Unlike most 'pairs' that appear for auction, these are totally complete, with both receivers retaining the inner 'stalloy' disks, and both also complete with the celluloid disks 10A/7066. Internally the receivers are very clean, and the exterior bakelite is also in great condition.
The receivers are also complete with their original screw on caps, both nicely marked. As the photos show, the caps are larger than those typically found on these receivers as they are intended to be worn with a headband, but are totally original to the receivers. If the buyer requires replacement caps to pair these receivers with a helmet I would be happy to assist.
Overall a lovely pair of these rare, early receivers.
