For sale is an RAF Type 27 'Ping-Pong' Carbon Microphone, Stores reference 10A/12572. Shell Only.

The microphone is in excellent condition, though it has likely undergone a fresh paint-job to spruce up the exterior. The microphone shell is fitted with its original rubber grommet to secure the loom in place, as well as the loom's retaining arm (which are often missing). Original switch is still present. The rear cap is in place, fixed with the original screws, though there is small section that has chipped away.

Sadly the microphone is missing the inner-mic, so is for sale here as the shell only. Nonetheless, the mic can still be fitted to a mask for display purposes, so is ideal for both collector and reenactor alike.
